What is the difference between the 8 inch and 10 inch memory foam mattresses?

All of our memory foam mattresses come fully assembled and ready for use. No assembly required, we DO NOT SELL (MATTRESS KITS.). Our Foam layers are fully bonded to prevent friction, separating, and deterioration of the foam.

Why does emattress not vacuum pack and shrink wrap mattresses and ship in a small box?

Vacuum packing a foam mattress compresses the cell walls and can weaken the integrity of the foam, shortening the life span of the mattress, resiliency, and memory of the foam. Always ask before you order, how the mattress is shipped!

Only lower density foam can be vacuum packed and shrink wrapped. These mattresses are not comparable to the Tempur-Pedic® brand.

Ever seen a Tempur-Pedic ® mattress vacuum packed?

No, even though it would save them millions in shipping costs around the world.

Due to the density and quality of our foam we cannot vacuum pack or shrink wrap our mattresses.

OUR MATTRESSES WILL NEVER ARRIVE TO YOUR HOME LIKE THIS

Shipping a mattress like this is much cheaper for the company sending it to you. But how could you send it back if you don't like it? That is if they offer a sleep trial. Our mattresses are shipped in a reusable full size MATTRESS BOX.

How is your memory foam mattress is constructed

OUR BASE or SUPPORT FOAM

First we use the highest density base foam of any manufacturer. 2.6lb. Density LX Urethane Foam (34 ILD). LX is a special formulation for maximum full body support, edge stability and durability. This also provides a stable surface to support the memory foam layer. Because of the high density of our base foam, it makes it impossible to send Vacuumed packed.

Next the Memory Foam layer is bonded to the base foam using water based bonding process. Our Memory Foam layer will depend on your personal preferences and the product purchased.

We offer 4.3lb (10 to 12 ILD), 5.34lb. (15 ILD) or 6lb. Density (18 to 20 ILD).

Our 8 inch memory foam mattress has a 3 inch memory foam layer and 5inch base foam.

Our 10 inch memory foam mattress uses a 4 inch Memory Foam layer and 6inch base foam.

Please note some competitor's 10inch mattresses have only 3 inches memory foam and 7 inches base foam.

WHY IS GOOD BASE FOAM IMPORTANT?

Base foam of lower density can allow you to sink too deep into the mattress feeling like you are in a hole, makes it hard to change positions and can make the mattress sleep hot. Low Density base foam also allows the memory foam layer to (bottom out) which means the body weight is now absorbed into the core of the mattress causing a downward curvature of the spine (hammocking)

Why is your memory foam better than others?

Our Memory foam has a finer cell structure than most all competitors. It is inherently open cell for proper ventilation. So an additional air flow layer is not necessary.

Competitors cell structure.

"We use memory foam that has as similar cell structure to the name brand as well as the same density. The difference is most other companies use a similar density but could have an entirely different cell structure. This is one of the many reasons Money® Magazine chose our memory foam mattress above all others when compared to Tempur-Pedic® brand for overall quality and price.

Why do you make an Air Flow Layer OPTIONAL?

The best way to reduce or eliminate heat while sleeping on any mattress is to stop it where it starts. That is at the point of contact between the skin and the mattress surface. This can be best achieved with the proper mattress cover, not an "AIR FLOW LAYER".

- Convoluted foam, marketed as AIR FLOW LAYERS has virtually no added benefit to a memory foam mattress constructed with quality memory foam and support foam. The claim is that these air channels will eliminate heat by allowing air to circulate or vent through the mattress.
- Heat rises, it does not move down through the mattress to air flow layer and escape.
- These layers are made of low density foam so when body weight is applied to the mattress these air flow chambers are closed off due to pressure.
- Convoluted foam being of low density is not supportive foam.

Why do you recommend a Wool cover when most other companies only offer synthetic or Pillow Top cover?

Wool is the only fiber that can wick moisture away from your skin and keep you cool and dry, creating an optimal sleeping environment. Other materials can only absorb moisture.

- 100% Hypoallergenic
- 100% Hygienic
- 100% All Natural Virgin New Zealand Wool

Wool is an amazing material. Man has not been able to duplicate this fiber. Wool's unique construction allows it to absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture, without feeling wet. The reason for this is that it contains keratin, which is very rich in amino acids that bind easily with water molecules. Wool is particularly hydrophilic when water is present in the form of vapor. This enhances wool's ability to pull moisture away from the body, keeping you cool in the summer and warmer in the winter.

The absorption/evaporation process works in hot weather to help keep the body cooler. Evaporation of perspiration is the body's natural cooling device. Wool helps this process along by absorbing body vapors. This aids in reducing skin temperature. Also, much of the outdoor heat is blocked because of wool's insulating barrier. This means that the body is kept at an even temperature at all times.

What is the difference between the 8 inch and 10 inch memory foam mattresses?

The basic difference is initial feel and ability of the memory foam to conform to your body. A 10 inch memory foam mattress will provide a softer feel and be more conforming to the natural curvatures of your body to ease more pressure points. An 8 inch memory foam mattress will be slightly firmer, but still be able to reduce pressure point associated with innerspring mattresses.
